SAB Duplicate - How to delete?

Hi all, I'm struggling with an SAB duplicate here.

I'm following Joy's awesome advice, but can't find the duplicate in MapMaker. There isn't a full address to search for, or it's hidden, and using city-state-zip hasn't worked. Any ideas?

Should I just mark as closed in G Maps? Do I even need to worry about this type of duplicate?

SABs with hidden address don't show up in MM any more. Have not for maybe a year or so?

But we don't know if it's really a dupe to be able to advise you.

It's a different phone #. Did they move? Was that at a previous address with different phone? Ask owner if that phone number is accurate and if it's an old one.

Because if it's a move it's handled one way. If it's same location, just a diff phone# it's another. If it's a bad scrap and never existed, it's another way.

So need more details.

Pleper's bookmarklet was able to locate the dupe in MapMaper, which tells me the dupe's address wasn't hidden; just hard to find in MM!

I'll address everything you mentioned with the client.

No the dupes address IS hidden. See here:

I should have explained better. If address is hidden you can't find it by searching any combo of NAP, so it's like it doesn't exist. But if you know the CID you can still find it, but most people don't know how find CID so it would not be there if the average person was searching for it.

Ah, thanks for clarifying. I made that assumption, because the correct listing returns a "not found" in MM: Google Map Maker. Same goes another SAB client I tested.

Ya usually they don't show at all.

But I'm thinking could depend on verified or not.

If it's a verified listing and the owner hid the address, then Google is assured it's an SAB and address should be hidden.

But if it's an unclaimed bare dupe and Google or a bot hides address just assuming it should be, then maybe it's still findable by CID???

Not sure, just a guess.

For the original (claimed) one that you want to keep, the address is hidden. You can see it on Maps but not on MapMaker because SABs that are verified in GMB do not show on MapMaker if their address is hidden.

For the duplicate you're trying to delete, it shows on both MapMaker and Maps because it's not verified and was most likely scraped from some 3rd-party (note: the phone number is different and that's why it probably created a dup).
