Hello. Does anyone know whether there is a sandbox for a significant website redesign including new content (same business / industry, just all new content)? If so, how long should you expect to see recovery -- or to decide that recovery is not gonna happen? Thanks very much for any shares of experiences with this specific issue. :)

There hasn't been a sandbox in ages.

Well, I know that I redesigned one of my sites last year -- very delayed redesign as it wasn't even mobile friendly. Once the redesign was finished, the rank dropped for several months, I did nothing and assumed that the previously #1 ranking would never be restored, and eventually -- the new site was ranking even above the local pack for the target phrases (and still is). But there was a several month delay. This was for organic only. Now, for a different business, I'm wondering about local in particular (is there a delay after a site redesign?) AI says that there isn't a sandbox, but basically there is a delay bc Google has to reevaluate the site authority (which, it really doesn't matter what a delay is called -- if there is one--then that's what I'm trying to figure out).
