Scrape permanently closed businesses on Google Maps to claim their links

I am using the following strategy for one of my clients,

He's in the industry where businesses keep closing and opening all the time and do quite a lot of Link building.

So I try to spot the businesses that are closed so as to get claim their links or mentions on the blog posts.

Is anyone here aware of how to scrape permanently closed businesses on Google Maps ?

Umm no one builds links to the GBP... this would do nothing to help a client.

I don't build link to the GPB. I look for closed businesses in my niche to notify sites that are still linking to their site.

Does that make more sense ?
