Anyone see anything negatively happening to their city pages?

A lot of city pages I see don't really provide any value whatsoever, and are just specifically designed to rank high up in searches, which is exactly what this update is trying to stop.

And when I say a lot, I mean like 99%.

Same - we are seeing positive movement for service area pages + location pages.

A lot of niche sites are getting wrecked -

Like if decided to make a 'niche site' about dogs, but I have never owned a dog in my entire life.

I expect a lot of blogs on these local businesses sites to get hit too. If you're writing a blog post on how to "fix a drain", but you're just a content writer working at an agency tasked to write 10 blog posts a week with no knowledge on the topic other than googling... yeah i don't think it'll be good.
