Timeline for Images to Appear In Listings

I know from experience that Google was having an issue with images taking upwards of a month or more to appear in local listings when they were added around 6 months to a year ago. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I haven't had to deal with that problem since.

That said, I recently helped a client with uploading some new photos to their listing and it's been about four or five days now and we are still not seeing the images on the live listing even though they appear in the Places Dashboard. Is this still an issue for Google and is the only short term work around still uploading the images as a user?

Any insight would be appreciated.

Old dash 4-6 weeks or possibly never.

I doubt they'll fix old since all focus is on getting new out.

So if can't wait may need to do the user upload trick.
