Video verification for service area business for showing address location

I have a home based service area business which i opened without the address showing on the google profile but under suggestion from SEO expert, I turned the option on for show my Service address and got a video verification request.

They have asked the following:

Show surrounding area such as street signs or neighboring businesses​

Your location should match the address you entered

Show business name printed on permanent fixtures such as signboard​

Your business name should match the name you entered

Access staff-only areas, unlock entrance or operate cash register​

You need to show you're authorized to represent this business


I don's have business name printed or signboards, as this is ran from my home, also dont have staff area as there is no staff etc. How should i proceed with business verification video. Has anybody done this before. I see a lot of businesses with address showing which are home based in my area?

To complete the video verification process, you need to hide your address again. Do you remember when you verified your GBP? You more than likely received the postcard. Your competitors may have done that. Since Google has switched to video verification, new businesses must complete the video verification process. They can't show the address if they don't have signage. I have been telling people to leave their GBPs alone and not alter the address for this very reason.

Did you get listed on Apple Maps, Bing, Facebook, Yahoo, Yelp, and other citation platforms? I have seen significant ranking increases

ok. So I just started this business in March and did not show my business. I did get verified by video verification and it went just fine.

Ok so I will hide my business and then do the verification and update here.

Will open profile on all other sites as you mentioned as well.
