We are getting bulk verified status for more clients. But face an issue where new locations added often get flagged for video verification anyway.

Because we have bulk verified status, we are able to create new GBP locations instantly and get them verified initially. After a week the pending status is completed and the profiles are flagged for video verification.

Are there tips or steps to avoid getting flagged for video verification? Thanks.

For example, in both cases we didn't have a dedicated phone number created yet, wondering if that triggered the need for verification.

It sounds like a possible bug with bulk verification, as I wouldn't expect any profiles added to a bulk verified account to need verification.

@krystaltaing any chance you've encountered this issue too?

Is it happening in all the bulk verified accounts, or just certain industries/categories?

As a rule, I would add all the information to the profile as soon as possible during creation, but I don't think not adding the dedicated phone number would be a reason for Google to request verification in this case.

Before creating the profiles, do you add the address and number to the business website?

It happened for our client that is a real estate developer within the last month. I have had it happen to a few other clients as well, but not recently.

We added two new locations of planned communities that will open fully in 2026. Website was added, phone number was not on the website, as we hadn't created the call tracking number yet.

One location was a residential address that is being converted into a showroom for homebuyers. Interestingly, once we added the opening date in the future, one of the locations became verified.

We are now dealing with Google Support on the second location. Profile is visible in Google, but it wants video verification. We won't be video verify until after the location is fully open.
