What to do when a GBP is unclaimed, has reviews and all is valid except for the phone number?

What steps can be taken when an unclaimed GBP is all accurate but you can't claim it because the phone number is no longer accessible. I have used the suggest an edit option several times and it doesnt get approved.

The profile has the correct name, address, reviews, etc.

If the phone line is active, you might be lucky enough to call it and get their collaboration so they'll stop getting bad phone calls? We've done it once.

You could use a local guide account to suggest an update on the GBP to the correct number (especially if the website in the GBP shows the phone number you want to change it to).
