Which URL we should use while doing Citations

1) CID URL
2) WEBISTE URL

IF WE USE WEBSITE URL DOES IT IMPROVE RANKING?

I would use the website URL - you own the website but you don't own the GBP and you always want to link citations to a site you completely control.
