Writing Reviews as a New Form of Blackhat Backlinking?

You can't leave a URL in a review on Google Places but apparently other websites aren't as strict. I can't believe someone would resort to this type of blackhat tactic but I guess anything goes these days.

Just awful. Thanks for the heads up! I still hold out hope that the epic battle between legit UGC and spam will be a fight to the death--of spam. But lo, some days I think the battle may just rage on like this forever
