The latest Shopify updates are overwriting the theme.liquid files and removing all tags added. Curious if anyone found a work around for this overright?

When our client clicks on the link from his phone or laptop to verify his listing, he is taken to a qr code. He scans it and comes back to the screen to click Verify.

In GMC, the account shows that GBP is linked but Products are not syncing. We've disconnected and reconnected twice but nothing has changed. Anyone had this happen and find a solution? A search in Google Support comes up with nothing.
We tried to contact support but they say we are not associated with the business so will not provide support. We gave them a contact within the business to verify our affiliation and they did not even attempt to verify. :(

Point #5 says ad accounts must accrue (or spend) $600 within 60 days.
But point #7 says it expires in 60 days.
