Hi Steve, I ended up writing a post about this issue:
Why Your Google Business Profile is Suspended and How to Fix it - Divorce Marketing Lab
In my client's case, it turned out to be an account problem; someone who had access to the GBP decided to delete their email address, which caused the...
Hi,
Briefly, a law firm client was hit with a hard suspension. Two of their three GBPs are gone from Search, Maps, and the dashboard. The remaining profile is not their main office, so there is increasing concern/freakout.
1. Is there any mechanism where Google will reveal the specific...
No updates at this time because we're still early in the process, and still creating the content. However, no one has suggested a problem with this approach . . . so it's march ahead.
Hi all,
[If this question belongs in the multi-location channel, or somewhere else please advise ;-) ]
We're offering a local search solution for various types of attorneys and related financial consultants. The program is layered on top of an existing service that is currently running in...
Hi there, I'm doing a pro bono project for a local charter school.
After a big ramp-up to start acquiring reviews for the school (something that had been neglected for years), we discovered that user could not actually review the school on a phone. Only the star rating is visible, but there's...
Re: Mulitple Locations: Use Location Page Instead of Home Page?
Thanks Colan!
The homepage barely out-ranks the location page for a branded search, but that's to be expected because the location page is new. In this case, it seems reasonable to run with the location page URL or the home page...
Hi, it's been a while since I've worked with a multiple location business. What's best . . . use the home page URL for citations and listings OR the website page specific to that location, for example: domain.com/locations/city/?
@james, @margaret
Thank you for your comments and reference to the Guidelines. The satellite office in this case is fully staffed and operational (I've been there). However, the owner wants calls to be answered at the main office simply because the staff that handles appointment-setting and...
Hi, one of my clients is opening a new office and needs a new phone number for local listing purposes. He's reluctant to pay ongoing charges for a line that will be rarely used (all inbound calls are picked-up at another local office). All he really needs is a unique number that forwards to the...
Thanks Joy, I appreciate your take on this! Yes, filtering is exactly my concern as well. I should have made clear both offices are indeed in the same city. I'll advocate for a separate phone number.
Greetings all!
One of my clients just opened an satellite office a few miles from his existing office. Let's just call them the main office and the satellite office. So we're talking about a different physical address, same business name, same URL . . . and same phone number. At the moment...
@Margaret Thank you. That's a good tool. I tried the Places API text search early in the process, but I think the key issue was that listing was too new and had not propagated through the entire system. It now pops right up.
@Linda Buquet Hi Linda, it's been a while since we spoke, hope all is well. I know Jon at grade.us and in fact I tried the grade.us tool first, but the business was not listed. However, I tried it again a few days later and it popped up, so I think I ran up against a data propagation delay...
