I have a few plumbing clients and we are working on getting more information around the 'Get AI Pricing' button/CTA that was recently added to the map pack

After a customer goes through the process of requesting information, does anyone know if there is any priority when it comes to the businesses provided in Googles response/reply?

Obviously locations where Google automated calls are enabled over those that don't are the primary recommendations, but was wondering if traditional ranking factors like avg. rating/faster response rate/proximity have any influence over how those businesses are ranked in Googles response or if its just in whatever order in which locations the Ai assistant called first?

Thanks!!

I'm not sure. There is so much that is unknown about the new AI price checker feature on GBP. When I tested it, the three businesses at the top of the email that Google sent me weren't any of the three that appeared in the map pack. I am also not sure how many businesses Google calls, or why it chooses the businesses it does.

Imagine Google is a real person. They will look for pricing info in the profile and/or visit the website for local plumbers and see if there is any pricing information. They may then call to check availability and get an estimate. If everything aligns Google may well include the business in the AI summary.

If you don't have any pricing information, don't answer the phone or don't have availability or are able to give a quote you won't get included.

This was quite a good test:

I suspect any kind of phone tree (possibly even stuff like being put on hold automatically) will cause the AI to immediately hang up. That would possibly explain a lot of these, wouldn't it?
