I was browsing to check a local colleagues G+ listing and I came across a new player in my market. Thoughts on this listing: https://plus.google.com/u/0/+Localseowebdesigndenverco/about

Spammy?

Checked out their webpage, which is very basic. Then I noticed another G+ link at the bottom of their homepage: https://plus.google.com/+Localsearchinternetmarketing1/posts

The fact that they rank for local seo denver just seems crazy to me. Is this what we have to do now to get noticed?

Yep I see lots of issues on that Place page.

The G+ page on the site goes to 404.

Did you see this post about the algo update that's going on? It appears to be surfacing some spammy listings that didn't rank before from what some of us are seeing.

I did see that post on the algo update. Very interesting shakeup. I've noticed a few listings affected in carpet cleaning and home resto industries. Its just frustrating to see.

Local SEOs Rejoice - Google Likes You Now!

When you talked about them ranking, I thought that's odd. SEOs don't usually rank in local. So started checking around and I'm seeing SEOs rank in lots of cities, but others aren't so maybe I'm sitting on a test server?

Do you see a pack for Denver Local SEO?

I'm seeing similar results for "local seo", local seo company. Same companies but different order.
