I also do not report my competitors. I try to stick with SEO efforts that are client based and not competition based. Reporting is me putting the focus on my competitors vs doing something for my client. It's a philosophical difference I suppose.

Also, I think it's fun to compete against people that are cheating and then eventually beat them. I get a lot of fulfillment out of that.

And it does feel a bit like taddling.

so they actually are provider lots value to their customers as a opposed to throwing the name of every contractor on a page. So it passes the SEO sniff test of creating value for customers IMO.

Just to be sure that this is not viewed by Google as a link scheme, it might be a good idea to nofollow the links that each of the contractors have published on their site.
