Hi:

We have a client who is receiving calls to their LSA line (we use CallRail) for another competitor. The people calling are getting angry at them.

Do you think the customers are just getting confused and dialing the wrong number? Is it possible maybe the Google supplied number was previously used by a competitor? Any other thoughts anyone has?

Is there any way to tell Google not to swap out the number?

Thanks!

P.S. Side note ... does anyone know the amount of time it takes Google to forward that number? Does everyone use a service like CallRail or do you find that LSA to business phone is the best way?

I wouldn't think its human error dialing a number, more likely Google - ask them to swap out their tracking number, should be no problem. Anything's possible, it's Google. Confirm nothing fishy going on with LSA users and associated GBP(s).

I don't think you can request to not swap the number. I also do not know the amount of time it takes to forward calls. Yes on the CallRail usage, definitely a best practice to make sure you verify all calls - there are times you may notice calls in CallRail that are not present in the LSA dash.
