Client Went Wild

Hi All,

Love the forum.

I have a client who went wild and created a ton of old verified Google My Business accounts. Most of them aren't legitimate and they may not have access to them at this point. Any strategies on how to go about cleaning this up?

Depends on what they are and if they're verified. If they're flat out duplicates (exactly the same name, address, phone number) I would probably reach out to GMB and ask them to merge them. If not, read this.

Hey Joy, they are not duplicates. They are verified unique NAPs.

Mostly fake, yes.

K if the listings are still verified, it will take longer to remove them. Probably 3-6 weeks for Google to approve them. You can escalate that if you want to send me a list and I can send them to GMB to remove.

I would suggest you edit them via Google Maps and select the closed banner and that the place doesn't exist as the option.
