Do +1's for Google My Business page have an effect

I was just wondering if there is any benefits to have +1's on the business pages?

I can't really say that it has been proven, but it certainly doesn't hurt.

In a word, "No".

At least for now. I have to believe that this metric will at some point play a role. However at this point, not so much. Sorry.

On the other hand, having people engage with your G+ Page is always great. Lots of side benefits as well. Someday G Local search will pick it up (tomorrow?), then you'll be WAY ahead of the crowd if you have a reservoir of +1's built up.
