Hello & thanks in advance. My client changed changed business name and branding but since his domain name is generic we're keeping it for now.
However, he had a https://old-business-name.business.site/ and when I was updating that with the new business name & branding I also changed the url.
So now if you enter above url you get a 404. I was kind of hoping it might automagically redirect to the new https://new-business-name.business.site/ URL.
Too late.

Can anyone advise on any repercussions I should be aware of - or if it's somehow possible to request a redirect by Google through a particular channel?

Thanks again.

Was it linked to anywhere? If not, I wouldn't be too concerned.

Thanks for responding, Joy. I don't know, I'm not sure. According to ahrefs there are no backlinks - so I guess we're fine. Thanks.
