GBP Map Embedding Changes

Hi all,

I noticed that some Google Business Profiles no longer have the option to embed a map, only a 'Copy link' button.

On the GBP backend, I saw a card to 'add a map to your website' along with a message saying 'get started at no cost'.

Has anyone else noticed this change or have any insights into whether this could become a paid feature? Also, does anyone know where I can find the HTML code to embed a map?

That backend bit has been there for a while. It's an API thing to create multi-pins maps.

The other part may be a test? One thing for sure: it's not deployed in French

Search for your business in Google Maps. You can get an embed link there.

Now Google is conducting all sorts of tests. There were also many so-called simplified views, e.g. they do not show product photos.
However, as @Rich Owings wrote, if you go to the profile directly from Maps, you should still have this option under Share
