GMB Category Traffic

Hey everyone,

Been reading the forum for some time via the folks at Sterling Sky, excited to join the conversation.

I was wondering if there were any tools that provided traffic data on different GMB categories? Obviously the primary category should be what they are, but I have a jeweler that fits multiple categories equally and I'm debating which one to set as primary.

I would set it to the same primary category of your competitors that are ranking well for your primary keyword. Your primary keyword would just be whichever gets the most search volume or in some scenarios could be a keyword that gets a little less traffic but is more lucrative.

At any rate, once you know your primary keyword, just Google it in your area and few other large cities and find the dominant primary category used by those ranking high. That's the one to go with.
