I'm sure by now, most of you have read about today's announcement.

Here's the Los Angeles Times story from today: http://www.latimes.com/business/technology/la-fi-tn-google-plus-20181008-story.html

Curious, what you think will happen to all of the reviews associated with the G+ social network/user profiles?

Will be interesting to see how this plays out, and its implications for GMB reviews.

Hey Megan,

Nothing will happen with reviews now that the toe tag is on Google+. Google Maps reviews and Google+ have been independent of each other for a couple of years now.

One thing some people will need to do - at long last - is update their "Review us on Google" links to point to a functioning URL and not to a G+ page.

Thanks, Phil. To clarify, then, a reviewer won't have to have a Google + social profile in order to leave a review on GMB?
