Hi, I know a business can have multiple locations at different residential addresses but what if a client has a business tied to his home address and wants to add a separate business for their other non related business? If they are separate legal entities and have their own phone numbers?
I know that can work for commercial buildings and am fairly certain it won't for residential but just wanted to check

Solution
So they want to have 2 separate service area businesses (SABs) at the same residential address? This should be ok as long as the businesses are unique in name, website, phone number etc. They also should not be related in terms of services/category. Example, a plumber and a cleaner at the same address would be ok, but a car cleaner and a home cleaner would not be.

Make sure to have tons of legal proof on hand to back this up to Google if needed, in case of suspension or verification issues.

Hey can you dive deeper in the ect? Do we need separate office spaces, vehicles, utility bills, service areas?

Service areas don't matter. I doubt office space matters, either. Vehicle might only matter if you had a vehicle wrap that was branded to one business.

Separate utility bills would definitely help; if you can put cell phones under two different business names that would be good.

You just need plenty of evidence that each business is legit at that address. DBA, LLC, licensing, etc, with business name and your address are key.

Agree with Tony, it's all about proving to Google that these are two legally distinct businesses that just happen to share an address/space. Separate business registration, taxes, insurance, utility bills, branding, BBB listings - all with the same address.
