How to verify a service based business (Painter)

I am currently managing a profile for a service based business (Painter) but they ask me to verify by Video.

How do I verify it especially as the Painter is using his house address with no signage or sign

You don’t need a sign if you are hiding the address. This will confuse the system trying to verify the video.

How do we know they are hiding the address? You can be a SAB and still have an address (unless I read the documents wrong):

But I did also read that if you are the owner of a business and create your own profile you don't always need to verify.

The OP asked about verifying the GBP without a sign. Plus some cities have laws governing signs.

Which might be part of the problem. Google doesn't know who you are so is asking for verification. If the owner created the profiles Google would already know who they are so may not need verification.

Not saying this is the solution but I've been doing some testing here in the UK and owner created profiles often get accepted without verification.
