Is having "inc" at the end of the brand an issue?

Anyone have experience with NAP having "inc" appended to the brand name? I'm having trouble getting the GMB knowledge panel to show if you search for just the name without the inc. Will this be less of an issue with increasing authority or do you recommend removing "inc"? Will removing "inc" have any other effects?

Google says "your name should reflect your business’ real-world name, as used consistently on your storefront, website, stationery, and as known to customers." I never include Inc., LLC, etc. Guidelines for representing your business on Google - Google My Business Help

I don't think it matters either way. Include it if you want it, don't include it if you don't want it. Google can figure it out either way. I include Inc on my company because it's actually how I refer to it.
