Likelyhood of Google Penalizing for Claude Watermark?

Recently, there has been some news of Anthropic's new watermarking system for text generated by Claude. There has also been speculation on how it works.

I am wondering, what do we think the odds are that Anthropic's watermarking system gets used by Google (who has their own watermarking system) to begin penalizing content?

Nobody knows. Google has it's own rules about the use of AI and may or may not penalize.

That being said, you should never, ever, ever post AI generated content without first checking and editing. There will always be something needs adjusting and doing so could well destroy the watermarking (if it even exists).
