Has anyone else experienced this?

My Client LSA and Google Ads suddenly stopped running after spending about $600 in the last two days. For the previous 4–5 months, everything was running smoothly and he was getting leads and calls daily. He haven’t set any spending limits, so I’m not sure why this happened.

Almost 80% drop.

If you’ve gone through something similar or know the reason, I’d appreciate any insight. Thanks!

Hi Patrick,

Are there any license and insurance verification issues? (if applicable to the industry/location)

Were there any changes made to the account before this drop in volume? (bidding, budget, locations, industries/job types...etc.)

Was there any change with the linked GBP? Is there anything in the Policy Manager of the account?

Are there any billing or payment profile issues? Also, make sure there is no daily spend limit applied or an issue with the payment threshold.

Thanks Chris for reply.

License and Insurance is perfect - I already confirmed.
Nothing edit or update.

The client got bad reviews 2–3 weeks ago. Last week, Google deleted 10 of these reviews in one day which is reported by client.

After that, the ads stopped running also impression showing 0 instantly.

The next day, the ads started again but stopped automatically after spending about $600. This is happening every day.

Were the missing reviews reported? This has been a reported somewhat widespread recent issue. That could impact ad rank/impressions.

It also sounds like some type of spend limit/cap could be in place, if it's spending $600, then going dark. Or, the budget could be too low, and it's spending more early in the day.

Google is rolling out updates starting March 1 to average daily budget pacing for advertisers using ad scheduling. But, it's not March yet, and who knows if LSA ad scheduling is affected the same way.

Have you clicked over to the billing dashboard to see about the payment threshold and any potential spend limit?

We've also seen (like once or twice) an arbitrary spend limit imposed on an account, but no mention of it anywhere in the billing tabs. Only repeated communications with support led them to admit the bug existed and fix it.
