Is it ok to manage multiple accounts under one username, or should you have a separate login for every client?

Hi Todd, nothing to do with the big update but it's always been a REALLY bad practice to manage clients in the same account for a wide variety of reasons.

Google does not want you to because if you part ways you can't just hand client their log in and would have to delete their account and they would have to start over.

But a biggie is that if you just have a problem on one or 2 listings Google will suspend the ENTIRE account. Then all your clients get suspended even the ones that were innocent and it turns into a nightmare.

Additionally now with G+ ideally G+L and G+ should be in same account. But many clients are going to want to manage their own social. You can't give them log in to your master account that has all your other clients in it!

There's more but those are the main things. Strong best practice is indiv account.

BUT if you've already done it wrong and have a bunch in same account then figuring out now to fix it is a big deal. Because moving them to indiv account could cause loss of reviews and temporary loss of rankings.

Thanks, that's what I thought you were going to say and how we've been handling it. But was hoping it was the other way for ease of use on our end of one individual login. But like you said, it's not worth it because if one goes down, then they all do.

Whew, good Todd. Glad you didn't have an account full of clients.

As we move forward with G+ and this unified dash it's going to be more important even to have clients in indiv accts.

Nope and No way! Like you said it would be so easy to have one master account! But when one goes down it sinks the whole ship! But I would LOVE one account to manage all......
