Our agency has been having issues for the last month and a half with issues taking over other businesses' listings. We can send a request like normal and then it will show us the confirmation page “Request sent” but we never get an email confirmation, which we’re assuming this means it didn’t go through, because the other business never receives the request. This is for a bulk verified account/folder. We’ve gone through 3 email accounts to request them, because it seems like we’ve been blocked from the other 2.

Has anyone been going through this as well? And if so, have you found a solution? If we can’t request ownership, there goes our process for our large agency client.

We have researched this at length, and our team hasn't found even a hint of a solution.

Any help or suggestions are welcome and much appreciated!

Can you have them invite one of your agency email addresses via their own GBP admin?

You can also check from the workspace user to see if there are any restrictions on the account when logged in to each account: myaccount.google.com/restrictions

As the admin for the workspace you can check: Menu > Directory > Users

I know recently there are requirements to have 2FA activated for workspace admins, there could be something related to that?

There's a limit to how many unanswered claiming can be active. What you see is exactly what happens past that limit.

I'm not clear whether this is a hard limit (the one we ran into was 10 requests) or whether it grows with the number of GBPs in the account similarly to the number of unverified GBP that can be present before you cannot create any more new ones. I'm not involved with sending claiming but the coworkers who ran into this issue said she had not encountered it before, so I suspect it's gated by number of GBPs.

There may also be a difference between regular and agency accounts on this point? Our agency account has always had over 1K GBPs in it, so either that limit is not applied or it's number-gated and we've never sent enough claimings to run into it.

Thanks for your reply, Brian! We've looked at our accounts and none of them are restricted. Unfortunately, our team is just the agency, so we cannot see any of the admin side of things. Also, we request many different businesses, so I'm not sure adding them would work.

Thanks, JS! Interesting thought. We have over 3K locations, so it may just be running into this limit, or there is another issue at play. I know that this thread here: https://localsearchforum.com/thread...ing-gbp-management-email-notifications.62389/ talked a little bit about it. I wanted to see if anyone had anything new, so we definitely appreciate this information!
