Is there a way Google allows us to add a URL to our Google Business Profile on the display ads within the Google ads dashboard so that we can send some traffic to our GBP via Display ads? If no, are there any other ways we can promote our GBP through Google ads other than Performance Max campaigns?

Hi Matt,

While I'm not entirely sure about using the GBP URL for a campaign, I guess you could see if it gets approved. IMO the better way to leverage the GBP is with the location asset. Use the location asset to add the GBP to your Display campaign(s).

"Google Display Network: Your locations may show on sites and apps on the Display Network when people are near, or have demonstrated an interest in, your local area."

Go back to the whole reason why you have a GBP. It's to promote the business. Which means someone searching for your business name would see the profile and probably your website and maybe some referrals in the organic results.

The second use of a GBP is local searches: someone looking X in Y location. If you tick all the boxes you will appear in the map pack.

I can't think of a reason why you would want to promote your GPB via adverts. A better use of ads would be to direct someone to your website.
