they have a bunch of satellite sites these are the ones I found, Im sure they have way more and are blocking spiders to crawl backlinks.

the sites doe have alot of blog posts however most of the content is thin and spun, same posts just different keywords and the articles are all re written

the sites have barely any backlinks other than their own network sites?

and these guys are outranking big brands like mattress firm and other big stores in the area

is it just because of the EMD and blogroll that they are able to rank both organically and locally?

Wow, this is an interesting one. The content on their homepage is all in images, no title tag, hardly any internal linking. Crazy.

They do have a handful of backlinks with relevant anchor text. I have to assume that is helping.

This will need some more digging around.

I would say the exact-match domain and links with exact-match anchor text like these ones :

Thanks for looking into this, but the competition has plenty of reviews also, so maybe that private link network of duplicate sites works...thank google lol


also has anyone notice Yelp being top of searches? if you google the same keyword yelp is number 5 and all they have is a silly landing page titled Best Mattress stores in Charleston, SC - Yelp
