Removing Business From Google - Will Removing Managers Delete A GBP?

On Google Business Profile, does selecting Remove Business Profile -> Remove Profile Content and Managers delete the business profile so that it is not visible when the business is searched for?

No, it does not. It just makes it so that it's unclaimed.

There seems to be a significant likelihood that it will be deleted afterwards, but that is an unrelated system going over recently freed GBPs (at least that's what we were told by support in summer 2021). And of course, reporting an unclaimed GBP is an almost guaranteed deletion.

So if you do want to actually delete the profile, you would go through that, but that wouldn't be the only thing you'd do.

When I manually report an unverified profile they're usually gone within 24h. We noticed the problem with vanishing "wild-released" profiles because they were vanishing within a similar delay.

I don't know whether the later has changed since then because have decided to no longer release profiles even when the clients refuse to take ownership of them and/or won't answer our requests/invites. Management refuses to risk that liability.

So far I have always told my customers that it is not possible to completely remove a GBP from Google. Obviously that is not correct?! What needs to be done in order to really delete a GBP? What do you think of something like G-Remove: Google Business Removal Agency - Delete in 48hrs
