Hi all. A bit of guidance needed on a suspended GBP listing. I've searched through the forum posts but can't find anything that seems to relate to this situation.
A business listing got suspended back in February this year. Speaking to the business owner, we found out that this was the second time it had been suspended. No clear reason why in writing other than 'deceptive content' but the owner confirmed that he had been showing his home address for this SAB listing on and off. I determined that that's the reason why it got suspended. He did forward us some communication he had, but it looked like mostly automated emails from Google and not really a back-and-forth with support with a case number.
There was never an option to submit a video or appeal from the business profile. I did manage to use the new-style appeal tool. I uploaded all relevant documents, which I believe we had in order
Before doing this, we actually created a refreshed, more robust website than the business used to have. We made sure the same phone number was on the GBP listing and a good handful of the top-level citations, plus everywhere on the website. And made sure the address was hidden (it had been since the suspension anyway)
A few days after submitting the appeal through the appeal tool, we got an email back saying that the appeal was not approved. When trying to appeal again through the same tool, the button to continue is greyed out, with a note showing 'business profile disabled' 'business profile doesn't exist' with the date of February 2026.
From the business manager platform, we still have the notification showing "Verification required."
I'd like my next steps to be planned out and not reactive. I'd like to set up a new listing, but it would be using the same address, but obviously being hidden from the outset. Does anybody think this is the right next step, or is this going to make things even trickier by looking like we're trying to cheat the system by setting up another listing at that same SAB address?
Since I can't appeal again through the tool, is there any other way I might be able to get a human's eyes on this at Google? I know that's tough these days.
Thanks in advance
