Hey everyone, looking for guidance on the best path forward for consolidating my GBP presence. Here's my situation:
Business type: Tree service. We have a physical office where we meet customers, but we also service the entire metro (legitimate hybrid - office + field service).
Current state:
Listing A (SAB): ~200 reviews, no address shown, has been active for several years (this was recently deactivated from our historical "store front" which was our home office address, we were able to get it reinstated by converting to a SAB.
Listing B (Storefront): Brand new location, office we just purchased, has signage, etc. We were able to video verify this and get this up.
Both listings have the same business name (our legal business name)
14 existing citations tied to the SAB (name + phone, no street address)
What I want to accomplish:
Consolidate to a single strong listing that shows our office address AND service area
Preserve the 200 reviews from Listing A if possible
Build a clean, consistent citation profile going forward
My understanding so far:
I should edit Listing A (SAB) to add the storefront address, converting it to a hybrid storefront + service area listing — preserving the reviews
Close/remove Listing B to avoid duplicate suspension risk
Update existing citations to include the office address and ensure full NAP consistency
Build new citations from there
Questions for the community:
Is editing the SAB to add the address the safest way to preserve the 200 reviews, or is there a better approach given that I already have a separate storefront listing?
Should I close Listing B before or after converting Listing A?
Any risk of triggering a suspension by having both live simultaneously while I transition?
For those who've done this, did Google require re-verification after adding the address to an SAB?
Appreciate any insights from anyone who's handled a similar consolidation. Thanks!
