Street View & Street Name Issue

Hi everyone

So we are having an issue for a client that has to do with Google Maps

1. Client has a verified page
2. Client built a facility and the city changed the name from one name to another. This is recognized by USPS with the new street name. Heck even Apple Maps updated their info.
3. Google Maps has NOT updated the street name, therefore, causing people to not get correct directions
4. Client had a bad street view image(completely for a different address) and hired a trusted Google photographer to get correct street view images
5. The new street images appear but the old one does too

We spoke to Google support this what they told us

1) the OLD and wrong street image will never be removed. This is baffling to us. The client PAID a Google trusted photographer. Why wouldnt they remove something that is completely wrong
2) GMB Support has nothing to do with Google maps. Two separate things. On their end the street is appearing right(which it is on the verified listing). How can we get the street to update other than suggesting an update in Maps to have it changed??? THis is crazy. Patients are being basically directed to the back of an apartment building and through woods(Not joking)

Are the patients getting incorrect directions or just that the Streetview imagery is incorrect?

You need to at least suggest changes to the road name on the map and wait 1 month (unless the edit gets denied) for them to be approved before anything else can be done.

They are not getting the right directions because maps still has the old street name even though the sign has been changed to reflect the new street name. And yes we suggested the name change to street in maps but as you know that can take forever..IF they ever change it. We made that request about a month ago

Ok, if it has been over 1 month you would need to post in the Google Maps support forum for assistance. Please be sure to provide screenshots from the automated email you would have received based on your report.
