What I’m using now seems to be very inaccurate recently. I’m wondering if the Java issue has anything to do with it.

Anyway, can I get some recommendations that are maybe outside of the big 3/4? Thanks!

Solution
Many people will assume that their rank tracker is inaccurate because they compare the results with what they see when they search in an incognito browser. That doesn't work. The problem is that Google's rankings are in massive flux these days and will be completely different based on many factors: IP address, location, browser, time of day, history, personalization, plugins, etc.

Just today, I was running the exact search term multiple times in a row, and the results shifted around every 5 minutes.

So you can't really say anything about accuracy by manually checking. The results the rank tracker pulled were "accurate" when the rank tracker checked.

Which tool are you using?

What Darren say. The incognito browser (potentially couple with GS location cahnger) is at best a very rough approximation of what a random user might see, and even ranking trackers are not much different since their procedure similar to a manual, it's just faster and automated for convenience!

Like Darren, I've seen threepack alters within minutes of each others when checking rankings, though for me that is not a common occurence.
