Hello,
I am trying to update the points of interest (POIs) on Uber/Lyft -- basically, the pick-up/drop-off pins. I'm doing this for a hospital campus that has about a dozen buildings/hospitals/centers and about 9 unique pins that I'd like to see become reality. Lyft has been responsive and they said that I could send them an Excel sheet with my proposed POIs and geo coordinates.
I have yet to hear back from Uber -- I've emailed business-support@uber.com a couple of times.
The current pin locations are really bad in many instances and I can't tell where they're pulling from. When I say the current pins are bad, some of the pins are on top of the building on the map, some of the pins on buildings are on the wrong building, and some of those pins are for locations that either a) don't exist, or b) we wouldn't want to have a pin for.
What I'd like is kind of like the experience at some airports where all of the pins are on the nearest driveway/road to the facility people would be transported to and we'd just label that pin for the corresponding building/etc. I'd like the pins on top of buildings to go away permanently because cars can't drive to most of them. We plan on embedding Uber/Lyft deeplinks in our appointment reminders to help patients get exactly to the correct pin for their appointment.
Anyone have success and can speak to best practices for both Lyft/Uber? Thanks, in advance. Respectfully, Gabor
