Our client attempted to verify their Google Business Profile several months ago using video verification but was unsuccessful. I’ve recently taken over the account and noticed that no verification options are currently available in the profile interface. When I tried to appeal it - it also didn't give any option.

I don’t have the original case ID from the earlier attempts, but I’ve gathered as much information as possible directly from the client. Complicating the situation further, the business recently changed both its address and phone number for legitimate business reasons. So now we’re trying to verify a new address and phone number, which no longer match what was submitted during the original verification attempt.

To support ownership and eligibility, I’ve collected:
  • Business name, new address, and new phone number
  • Profile ID and account email
  • Photos of business equipment
  • A 1-minute and 5-second video that shows:
    • The business signage outside
    • Street number and front door
    • Walkthrough of the home office setup
    • A shot of the software they use in the business
Do you think this documentation is sufficient for support, or should we consider creating a new profile from scratch and starting verification over?

Given that the profile already has 44 Google reviews, we’d really prefer not to lose it.

I posted in GBP Forum to try and get a Product Expert to help me escalate the issue but it was someone it marked as duplicate.

Thanks!

@johnlavapie_SEO - For verification issues, contact the support team through the Verification Status Tool: https://support.google.com/business/workflow/12825603

I just handled one of these cases this morning, so it's fresh in my mind! Be prepared to provide the following:
  • Photos of signage (including a wide-angle shot showing nearby businesses, if possible)
  • An email address for your client on the business domain (Google will email them to confirm that you're authorized to work on their behalf)
  • A link to an accredited BBB profile, if they have one
  • A utility bill
  • Other proof (e.g. LLC, DBA, license(s), tax registration docs)
