Hi LSF!

Below is a grab from a cold email one of our clients received last week. It's taken from a relatively well-known UK business that has a reputation for false promises, fake reviews and pretending to be Google in their pitches. We've had a slow but steady stream of customers come to us from them over the years, and they all report the same experience. But, they clearly still acquiring clients.

Even the email excerpt below has more holes than a Swiss cheese. In our view, it's nothing more than false advertising. We've considered reporting them to the UK advertising regulator for this kind of content and their impersonation, but it feels like it might be too heavy-handed.

Has anyone got any suggestions about what we should try?

Hi Tom, what part specifically are you concerned about? The "guarantee"?

Yeah, that is the most pressing. Also, the radius concept, where they claim that there are a limited number of spots in each radius. To suggest they can target a radius that accurately obviously isn't true, either.

Hey Tom, although frustrating, I don't think there is an action item here. The way I look at stuff like this is it creates more opportunity for those of us who actually deliver quality SEO and customer service.
