What would you like to see in a WP plugin for Local SEO?

I am a developer who has been doing local SEO for some time.

I have wanted to do a local SEO WP plugin for some time now and am at the point where I can do it. My question for the group is what functionality would you like to see in such a plugin?

I am open to any and all ideas.

That is actually quite easily added to any web page, WordPress or otherwise, with basic HTML.

Click to call:

<a href="tel:1-555-555-5555">1-555-555-5555</a>

Click to send text message:

<a href="sms:1-555-555-5555">Send Text Message</a>

... while you're waiting...

But I agree, a plugin that included that feature would make it easier for a lot of people.

I think the formatting part is definitely easy. What's not always easy is getting it to show up nicely as a button or something with the existing theme.

That's true. The styling is often more complicated than the basic code. And I do agree with you that having features like that built in to a theme or plugin greatly adds value.

• editable meta description
  
• easy to use admin panel
  
• responsive design
  
• translation ready
  
• you can select which information you would like to show or hide
  
• business information (name, type, short description, website url, logo, etc.)
  
• location details (address, geo coordinates)
  
• geo coordinates calculation with 1 click
  
• contact details (phone numbers, fax numbers, email)
  
• click-to-call links on phone numbers to make it easy for your customers to call you, just 1 click to make a call
  
• mail-to link on email to make it easy for your customers to send you an email
  
• payment details (accepted payment types, accepted currencies, price range)
  
• opening hours (12 or 24 hour-format)
  
• special opening hours for holidays (12 or 24 hour-format)
  
• social media icons and links (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, and more)
  
• Google Maps
• Widget to encourage people to leave reviews
• Exploring integration of reviews

Yes! I used that on my church's site. Totally didn't know it integrates with Analytics though!

If you could create a plugin that automagically removes render blocking JS & CSS and puts it inline without breaking the site I would gladly pay for a plugin like that.

I noticed in your list of possible inclusions you mentioned Google Maps - is that the standard Google Maps (i.e just the address of the business) or obtaining and embedding the actual business' Maps listing? (which will show review stars etc). the latter is definitely more useful from a Local SEO perspective.

I wanted to follow up on this string. We have been hard at work on the plugin and are working to have the first phase ready for beta testing in ten days to 2 weeks.

Can you guys help me by testing the plugin as I would very much value your feedback.
