Hey there! Welcome to the forum. I merged your 2 threads since the topic was similar.

The biggest thing that influences ranking in the local pack results is traditional on-site SEO. Things like content, title tags, internal linking etc. Moz has some decent courses on this stuff and I'd also check out anything by Brian Dean.
