Hello! I have a service area GBP (in Los Angeles). It was verified over 13 years ago by postcard at our physical address. Business has always been at this same address, never changed, but address is hidden and a service area is shown. The problem is that every time I search up our business name in Google Maps the result will show the business name with a city under it that is over an hour drive away and 40 miles away! Any way to fix this?

Also to add to this, I am getting in inquiries from all over California- 100+ miles away. North and East 100+ miles from us. In the opposite direction of the city name that comes up when I search our business name. This is so bizarre.

what is your GBP to look over? And when you click on the map within your profile, does it show a red outline showing the correct service area?

Ok, weird. was just a thought. a couple years ago there was a black hat thing where people where "suggesting changes" that moved the address (not SAB) to another location or even another state! And it was working!

Thought that might be something like your situation but it doesn't look like it.

I actually saw that with someone I was worked with in New Jersey.....someone has literally moved her pin to the middle of the Pacific Ocean!

btw for anyone reading this thread, I fixed it! I removed a few cities that were farther out that were listed in the service area on GBP and seems to have updated the main city that shows under business name when I search on maps app and desktop
