Yellow Pages, Reach Local and Yodle issues

Thought I would get a conversation going on this subject. I've noticed an increase with our clients who decided to use these 3rd party companies without consulting us. As you know, these companies create tracking numbers, forwarding domains like 2mybusiness.com, landing pages, Duplicate listings and just plain laziness in completing profiles. What are some other companies doing this? I understand Google has been increasing the training offered to these companies, but doesn't it just add to the very confusion Google is attempting to clean up?
