Hey guys,

We have an attorney client who does not keep people inside an office 24/7 but they have chat 24/7 on the website and 24/7 phone availability.

In the age of COVID when very few people are going to the office, what’s okay and not okay to show on Google Maps concerning hours of operation?

Thanks! :)

@MoneypennyCO, it's still a gray area. Though the guidelines on hours haven't changed, Google has made accommodations for non-in-person (virtual) services and is OK with them. Google still wants your GMB hours to reflect the hours you conduct business, but Google doesn't care about the in-person factor anymore. That's where the gray area is, as of the last year. So if your client is willing to "meet" with clients (via phone, Zoom, etc.) pretty much any time of day (or night), then specifying 24/7 hours isn't a stretch.

Even before last year, there was a pretty big gap between Google's policies and what it will enforce. Now, just about the only way your 24/7 hours won't stick is if the hours specified on your site and on other...

Even before last year, there was a pretty big gap between Google's policies and what it will enforce. Now, just about the only way your 24/7 hours won't stick is if the hours specified on your site and on other listings don't match up. So you'll want to be consistent in stating that you're open 24 hours.

Like @JoyHawkins, I'd go with 24/7 hours.

Many businesses are doing away with in person stuff entirely, even though they serve a local market, especially if their services could be easily modified to be done virtually (like attorneys). Still eligible for a business listing? The guidelines would say no.
