Hi,

We have a client with this possible GBP Suspension issues:

1) Used his old business profile for basement renovations and updated it vs starting a new one
2) Had it at his home address and moved the listing to his shared office before verifying it
3) Has a shared office space and did the video tour from there. Did video verification - and still failed.

So the client attempted to appeal for reinstatement and still failed.

We are assuming that Google is NOT going to listen to any more appeals, since he even did a video walk-through, send records and docs etc. and still rejected. Is there is any other recourse or if a new business entity is about all that is left to get the client's business listed?

Thanks for the help.

Hello there,

You can Request an additional review to a denied request using this url

https://support.google.com/business/contact/local_appeals

But I would recommend you should start a fresh GMB if you dont have any reviews on the previous GMB. hope this helped you.

Did you directly address the reasons provided for denial? It’s important to explain:

  • How their reasoning might be mistaken
  • Any steps you've taken to correct issues
  • Additional evidence supporting your business's legitimacy

Providing more documentation is always helpful. Make sure to:

  • Include anything you haven’t submitted yet
  • Clearly demonstrate that you are the rightful business owner
  • Do something different this time—present new, stronger evidence

Clarify Your Business Type

Are you setting up a:
  • Physical Location, or
  • Service Area Business (SAB)?

Based on your message, I’m assuming you’re trying to list a physical location. But it sounds like you transitioned from an established GBP to a "shared office". This seems to be the most important point being flagged by google. Address changes commonly cause suspensions.

The Shared office should be clarified. What is that? A co-working space? Thats not going to be allowed for a physical location GBP.

Key Criteria for Physical Locations

Ask yourself:

  • Does your office have permanent signage?
  • Can clients walk in and receive services?
  • Does the space look and function like a real business location, not a personal office?

If your location is in a shared or coworking space, it likely won’t be approved unless:

  • The space is dedicated exclusively to your business
  • It's clearly recognized by signage and setup as a standalone operation

Likely Denial Reason: “Deceptive Content”

It sounds like Google may have flagged your location as deceptive—common when listings use coworking spaces or vague addresses. Make sure your business appears legitimate, publicly accessible, and distinguishable from others in the same location.
