Free Rank Checkers for Amateurs?

I am giving a presentation to my alma mater about SEO and it is geared towards start ups in incubation and small business owners. The last time I gave a presentation, Mozilla's SEO Rank Checker was a tool I often recommended, however I don't think its really a viable option with the Mozilla update.

I personally use BrightLocal and Ahrefs but would like to give a free rank checker recommendation, does anyone have any suggestions?

It doesn't have to be perfect, but just lets them check back every so often.
