Hi All,

We are a service area business and reporting on GBP calls has always been one of our top priorities. With Google saying that the call history will be gone as of the 31st of July, we were wondering if there are any possible solutions to report on future GBP calls.

Much appreciate your help in advance.

Echdip.

Call History is going away, not reporting on calls in general. I'd recommend a call tracking line to be more precise, but Google will still report on a Call Metric in GBP Insights. The trending of that number will still provide value in terms of improvement or not.

Hi, I just joined the forum and saw the "Call History" topic is being discussed here. I have a confusion. Does this mean the "Calls Metrics" from the Performance Tab will also be discontinued? As per Google, we can still add the phone number.

Absolutely not. These are two completely different systems. Call history tracks individual stats about each call.

Call metrics merely count how many clicks on the button occurred on mobile, and they are not affected by the end of call history.

With Google deprecating call history, we've seen some profiles report a lower amount of calls compared to month over month. Do we know if it's just call HISTORY that Google is deprecating and not also call metric reporting?

@JS Girard Just an Update. Google has stopped showing the "Calls" Metrics from the Performance tab.

Yes, it's taking all of us by surprise. No one knows yet whether it's a bug or just awful communications from Google that failed to clarify this was always the intent.
