For about 3 weeks now we've been seeing new accounts we've been taking on being suspended. The reason is always the same:

"Content that violates are policy isn't allowed"

"Your content was removed by our automated moderation system."

That's all it says with the option to appeal. We are finding it's only happening on accounts that have been in some way dormant, either unclaimed or just lacking in activity then we take over beign work and the profile is suspended.

When we take an account on we first optimise the gbp, add services and change the business description is all we really have been doing and reply to previous reviews. We also add some Google posts scheduling them to post about once per week.

It's killed our business model at the current moment and I'm wondering if it's something to do with our actual account itself... We manage nearly 200 GBP's so maybe there's issues somewhere.

Can anyone help us on how to solve this? Causing lots of sleepless nights!

@lonerangerseo - A couple of thoughts:

- The messaging you get from Google isn't always accurate. Sometimes it's plainly wrong/misleading. So, while I think this message is probably correct, your problem probably is related to content, just allow for the possibility that it's actually something else.

- Repeat offences can lead to a suspension. E.g. if you keep uploading posts that get rejected, that can eventually trigger a suspension. "If a merchant displays a pattern of violating Google Business Profile policies, they may have their Business Profile access restricted." From https://support.google.com/business/answer/13762416

Are you noticing rejections of the content you're adding?

- It could also be related to the pace at which you're adding content. A dormant profile suddenly springing to life might raise a red flag. However, that's easy to test: slow things down! Start making changes very slowly and ramp up the work over a few weeks. See if that helps.

Also, slowing down would give you a better opportunity to spot rejections, which I think might be the issue.
 
In my experience, content can mean an element on the profile is not adhering with Google's guidelines, usually something big like an address, phone number or service area. Typically Google doesn't care about other types of content on the profile, and if the content itself (like a description or a post) violated their guidelines, they would just remove or revert the content.

To Stefan's point, if you continue to make an edit that Google keeps rejecting, and you fight with the system posting the same content, they could suspend the profile. But that would take multiple postings of the same, rejected content. Are you doing that?

Since the GBPs are getting suspended after you optimize them, I am betting it has something to do with the way you are optimizing them, or their trust level with Google. Are you making major edits all at once (name, address, phone, website)? Are you adding service areas that overlap? Adding phone numbers that do not match the website?

Or are these service area businesses with the address showing, when the address should be hidden (residential locations, no signage)?
 
Some of the GBP's we're optimising, some we've used paige ai by merchynt, some we literally haven't done anything apart from claim the listing or be added as a manager. This leads us to beleive it's something on our account that is being flagged.

We were thinking of starting an agency GBP account but defintely won't do that now after seeing that can lead to every location being suspended.

We're going to start a new google account to manage new GBP's which hopefully will solve this issue
