How to Claim a GMB listing with a lost Email

I'm new here, apologies if this isn't the correct thread to put it on.

Scenario: I'm working with a client who lost access to their GMB listing. The Gmail account used to claim their GMB listing is now lost.

Question: Is there another way I can claim the listing with my master account or should I just create a new listing and report the old listing to GMB support that it's closed /duplicate (although I'm afraid GMB will go back to me)

I hope some of the experts can drop some knowledge on me.

Hi, just create a new listing and during the process GMB should let you know the business is already claimed by other account. Go through the Request ownership process... and that should solve the problem.
