Another new tool from Bing that I just learned about today. Has anyone else used this yet?

IndexNow

An easy to use protocol that websites can call to notify Bing whenever website contents on any URL is updated or created allowing instant crawling, and discovery of the URL.

Generate API Key

An API key is needed to match the ownership of the domain along with submitted URLs; should be of minimum 8 characters.

Host API key

Host your API key on the root directory in txt format. This will help in verifying the ownership of the submitted URLs.

Submit URLs with parameters

Webmasters can submit individual or bulk URLs. Just submit your key location as URL parameter.

Get details on how many submitted

URLs submitted and discovered by Bing can be seen in the Bing Webmaster Tools portal (sign-in required).

AndyB, a Xenforo addon developer, has a new addon in pre-release:

There's also a WordPress plugin by Mihdan:

The official WordPress plugin is Bing URL Submissions Plugin.

Rank Math is ahead of the game on this by letting you select to automatically ping Google and Bing. Rank Math also has pretty simple integration with Bing's IndexNow that can also be set up.

Yoast has said they won't add it. Though, the founder did say, "Yoast SEO generates XML sitemaps and it can even ping search engines when those change" and their website says "After you have manually connected the sitemaps to Bing and Google, each time a post is updated Yoast will then automatically ping the search engines to have them come crawl the sitemap."
